Scranton Preparatory School

Built in 1898 as the Administration Building of the International Correspondence Schools, our Wyoming Avenue home has been part of Scranton’s history for over a century. Scranton Prep moved here in 1963, filling these storied halls with the energy and enthusiasm of generations of Prep students.

The Chapel

Our second-floor Chapel, adorned with icons collected worldwide by alumnus and longtime State Department diplomat Michael Metrinko ’64, is a sacred space where our community gathers for weekly Mass and quiet reflection.

The Commons

The Commons is the go-to spot to study, work with friends, or just hang out.

Solutions Cafe

Solutions Cafe is where teamwork thrives. This flexible, collaborative space gives students a place to tackle group projects, brainstorm big ideas, and work side-by-side. Students will also find faculty available for additional math and science support.

Scranton Prep’s computer labs and classrooms are designed to support focused learning and collaboration. Equipped with modern technology, these spaces give students the tools they need to explore ideas, work together, and prepare for the challenges of tomorrow.

The Xavier Center

Sports Hall of Fame

Greeting visitors to the Xavier Center, Scranton Prep’s Sports Hall of Fame honors the athletes, coaches, and teams who have shaped our proud athletic tradition. It’s a celebration of dedication, skill, and Prep spirit that inspires all who walk through our doors.

Keller Court

Named for Prep's former Principal and President, Fr. Herbert Keller, S.J., our court has seen it all. From basketball and cheer to pep rallies and tournaments, Keller Court is where Prep pride shines brightest.

Xavier Center Weight Room and Indoor Track

Inside the Xavier Center, our weight room and indoor track give every Prep athlete the tools to train, grow, and compete at their best, guided by dedicated coaches and trainers.

Bellarmine Theatre

The 875-seat Bellarmine Theatre is where our community gathers, celebrates, and performs. From schoolwide Masses to unforgettable fall and spring productions including the sold-out Les Misérables in spring 2025. This is where Prep’s spirit comes alive under the spotlight.

Scranton Prep’s science labs and classrooms provide hands-on learning in biology, chemistry, physics, and more. Equipped for experimentation and discovery, these spaces inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of scientific exploration.

Loyola Field

Once the home of Haddon Craftsman, Loyola Field now hosts Prep’s home track meets, lacrosse, and soccer games. This versatile athletic space is where teamwork, competition, and, every spring, where our graduates receive their diplomas.

Tennis Courts

Scranton Prep’s tennis courts are a hub of skill, teamwork, and competition. Home to our boys and girls teams, they’ve seen countless rallies as well as a state championship victory by our girls team.
