Men and Women for Others
At Scranton Prep, faith, intellect, and character grow together. Rooted in the Jesuit practice of cura personalis—care for the whole person—we form young men and women for others, ready to lead with courage, empathy, and integrity.
Learning with Passion. Leading with Purpose.

Our Mission Statement
As a Catholic and Jesuit college preparatory school, Scranton Prep’s mission is to help families form young people who are well prepared for college and who will live lives that give greater glory to God. Accordingly, we seek to form graduates who are intellectually competent, open to growth, religious, loving and committed to doing justice. In doing so, we seek to prepare our students for college, for life, and for eternity.
Grad at Grad
We inspire students to be intellectually competent, open to growth, religious, loving, and committed to justice.
Ready to shape the future through courage, compassion, and character.
A Jesuit Education for Life
Wherever life takes them, our graduates carry a lifelong foundation to think deeply, act justly, and lead with heart.
Where learning meets faith, character, and purpose.
Our Diversity Statement
St. Ignatius Loyola, founder of the Jesuits, teaches us to seek God in all things. Jesuit schools believe that God can be powerfully encountered through an educational experience that includes and explores the great diversity that marks Creation in general and humanity in particular. Accordingly, Scranton Prep strives to form a school community in which differences in race, ethnicity, culture, religion, socioeconomic status, gender, sexual orientation, physical ability, and learning style are experienced, accepted, and understood.
