School Wide Read - The American Spirit: Who We Are and What We Stand For

This year's School-Wide Read is The American Spirit: Who We Are and What We Stand For by two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning historian and author David McCullough. McCullough was also the recipient of the National Book Award and the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

The book consists of a collection of speeches by McCullough in which he reflects on the most important ideals and characteristics of our nation. As our country celebrates its 250th birthday, there is no better time to reflect on the principles upon which America was founded and consider who we are and what we stand for.
