Sophomores Participate in Interfaith Day

Sophomores Participate in Interfaith Day

For the fifth year in a row, our sophomore students had the opportunity to participate in Interfaith Day, a tradition that encourages them to broaden their perspectives and learn about other religions. During their experience, they visited Temple Hesed alongside Rabbi Daniel Swartz and later went to the Islamic Center of Scranton, where they were welcomed by Imam Ahmed Mahgoub.

Students learned about the Jewish and Muslim faiths while discovering both the differences and similarities between them. Opportunities like this allow them to reflect more deeply upon their own beliefs, strengthening them in the process.

We are incredibly grateful to Temple Hesed and Rabbi Daniel Swartz, as well as the Islamic Center of Scranton and Imam Ahmed Mahgoub, for welcoming us with open arms and educating our students about their beliefs.
