Scranton Prep Girls Lacrosse Hosts Annual Morgan's Message Game

Scranton Prep Girls Lacrosse Hosts Annual Morgan's Message Game

Last Thursday, the Girls Lacrosse team faced Holy Redeemer in its annual Morgan’s Message game.

Morgan’s Message is a nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating the stigma surrounding mental health in the student-athlete community and equalizing the treatment of mental and physical health in athletics. It was founded in honor of Morgan Rodgers, a former Duke women’s lacrosse player, to continue her legacy and advocate for student-athlete mental health.

Junior McKenna Toolan became an ambassador for Morgan’s Message after being introduced to the initiative during her freshman year. “During my first dedication game as a freshman, I realized what a great cause this was and wanted to be a part of this organization,” she said. “To become more involved, I became a Morgan’s Message Ambassador as a sophomore.”

Alongside Toolan, Caroline Morgan ’27 and Keira Stofko ’27 have also recently become Morgan’s Message Ambassadors.

The annual game serves as an opportunity to raise awareness around mental health in athletics. Scranton Prep is proud of the Girls Lacrosse team for supporting this cause and grateful to Holy Redeemer for joining in this effort.
