Physical Education
Physical Education is an essential part of the total education program. It is designed to promote health and a sense of well-being in youth. It is the optimum development of the physically, mentally and socially integrated and adjusted individual, through guided instruction and participation in selected total-body sports and activities conducted according to social, hygienic and safety standards.
It is hoped, with this philosophy in mind, that good health can be achieved through a variety of skills and activities that contribute to cardio-respiratory fitness, endurance, flexibility, agility, balance, muscular strength, speed, power and coordination. This course is taught in conjunction with efficient, graceful, useful movement skills at all levels of development.
