Jesuit Identity

Finding God in All Things

A Tradition of Excellence and Purpose

For nearly 500 years, Jesuit education has shaped students by nurturing the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. It blends rigorous academics with the cultivation of character, leadership, and a commitment to others. Students are encouraged to discover their unique gifts and put them to meaningful use, preparing them to live with integrity, serve with heart, and lead with purpose as they become men and women for others.

Our Mission

Men and Women for Others

As a Catholic and Jesuit college preparatory school, Scranton Prep’s mission is to help families form young people who are well prepared for college and who will live lives that give greater glory to God. Accordingly, we seek to form graduates who are intellectually competent, open to growth, religious, loving, and committed to doing justice. In doing so, we seek to prepare our students for college, for life, and for eternity.

In an ever-changing world, our Jesuit mission calls us to remain true to our unchanging principles while embracing new and innovative ways of forming young people.
