Grad at Grad

The image depicts a group of young women in white dresses embracing each other in a garden-like setting, with a floral display and a building in the background.

Grad at Grad

As a Jesuit school, Scranton Prep seeks to form graduates who are Open to Growth, Intellectually Competent, Religious, Loving, and Committed to Doing Justice. These qualities as outlined in the Jesuit Schools Network’s Profile of the Graduate at Graduation (“Grad at Grad”) are not abstract ideals. They are the habits of heart and mind our students develop every day at Prep, preparing them to step into the world with purpose and confidence.

Open to Growth

Prep graduates take intentional responsibility for their own development, intellectually, emotionally, socially, physically, and spiritually. They seek challenges that stretch their minds, deepen their understanding, and expand their capacity for reflection.

Intellectually Competent

Graduates demonstrate disciplined thinking, analytical rigor, and effective communication. They engage complex ideas, pursue academic excellence, and are prepared to thrive in higher education and lifelong learning.

Religious

Prep graduates cultivate a mature spiritual life rooted in Ignatian values. They reflect on moral and ethical questions, discern meaning and purpose, and integrate faith into both thought and action.

Loving

Graduates exhibit empathy, compassion, and integrity in their relationships. They foster meaningful connections, respect human dignity, and demonstrate care for the well-being of others.

Committed to Doing Justice

Prep graduates recognize and respond to injustice with deliberate action. They are prepared to lead in service of the common good, advocate for those in need, and contribute to a more equitable and humane world.

Our Grads at Grad

on Growth

Two young students, a boy and a girl, are walking together in a school hallway, carrying books and folders. The hallway appears to be well-lit and has a clean, organized appearance.

When I think of my last four years at Prep, the growth I have experienced, both academically and as a person is tremendous. I am glad to call Prep my home.

on Service

Three people standing in a partially constructed wooden frame, with construction materials and tools visible in the background.

I learned that Prep is a community founded on and strengthened through service to others.

on Love

A group of students posing in front of a large purple and blue bus or trailer with the text %22Scranton Prep%22 displayed prominently on the side. The background appears to be a grassy field or sports field.

My four years at Prep taught me to focus, feel, reflect, and love.
