The Prep Fund -Unrestricted
Contributions to the Prep Fund support every Scranton Prep student that walks through the doors. This unrestricted annual appeal assists in funding all of our programs-academic, artistic, athletic, spiritual-and enhances our financial aid allocation. A gift to the Prep Fund allows us to remain a top-tier academic institution by contributing to curricular and programmatic growth. It allows us, also to stick to our Ignatian principals in the formation of some 750 young men and women for others each and every year.
Scranton Prep cares for the personal development of our students in mind, body and spirit. While we take much pride in educating our students for success in college and beyond, we pay equally close attention to their formation as individuals. Much of this stems from lessons learned on Ignatian Day, Kairos retreats, service projects and the like. A contribution here will support programs that support our Jesuit mission.
Over the years, a major piece of the Prep experience for our students has taken place on a field, court, course or mat. Directing your gift to Prep athletics allows us to continue the tradition of athletic excellence for students in all sports and intramural or programs. Coaching costs, equipment, transportation and training are just a few items that contributions to Prep athletics help support.
The Arts at Prep
Scranton Prep places a strong emphasis on visual, performing and literary arts. Targeted donations to the arts program will support the personal growth and creativity that our students gain through their participation in: activities like drama, performance music, programs like AP Art History, studio art and music curriculum.

THE CURA PERSONALIS SOCIETY- Current parents only.
This society honors parents who, through a donation of $1,250 or more to The Prep Fund, have bridged the gap between Scranton Prep ‘s tuition cost and Prep’s actual cost per pupil. The Prep Fund is the instrument that, on an annual basis, allows Prep to control tuition by supplementing every program within our institution. Members of this society will also be recognized as members of the President’s Circle.
One of the greatest ways to impact the life of a young man or woman is through the gift of education. In an effort to attract the brightest minds and most talented students in NEPA, Scranton Prep currently distributes approximately $1.5 million in financial aid every year. Prep’s continued success will depend squarely on the reach of our aid program. If you are interested in endowing a named scholarship, thus enhancing our program, please reach out to Christian Davis at 570-941-7743. Named scholarship endowments begin with an investment of $100,000. Currently, the cost to endow a full scholarship at Scranton Prep is $300,000.
Scranton Prep embarked on a capital campaign to position itself for future success in a constantly changing world. In order to live up to our calling of educating the whole person in mind, body and spirit, Prep altered the entire landscape of our institution in a way that allows us to offer more to our students.
Our science center allows us to expand our STEM programs. Our theater offers a space for our artists to display their talents. Our gymnasium, Loyola Sports Complex and Convery Field give our athletes everything they need to properly train and compete.
The technological renovations to our main building provide our faculty the resources they need to educate the minds of young men and women growing up in the 21st century.

Although different than conventional annual giving, the EITC program is a great way to support the students of Scranton Prep. Ideal for business owners, this tax-credit program directly funds the financial aid program, accounting for nearly half of all annual grants. Please CLICK HERE for more information. It may, at first glance, seem too good to be true, but it’s not-it truly is an easy way to donate and a relatively cheap one too!
